Three steps to download any video. No software required.

Paste a Video URL

Find a video you want to download on any supported platform — YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, or any of the 1000+ sites we support.

Copy the URL from your browser's address bar. Then paste it into the input field on VDO Download's homepage and click Get Video.

Pro tip: If you copy a URL and then switch to VDO Download, the URL will auto-paste when the page gets focus.

Choose Your Quality

After extraction, you'll see all available formats organized into tabs: Best, Video Only, and Audio Only.

Each format shows the resolution, file type, and estimated size. Pick the one that suits your needs — whether that's the highest quality 4K video or a lightweight audio-only track for a podcast.

The Best quality available card at the top is a quick shortcut to download the highest quality format with one click.

Download

Click the download button on your chosen format. You'll see a real-time progress bar showing the download percentage, speed, estimated time remaining, and file size.

Once complete, the file saves directly to your device. You can cancel any download in progress with the cancel button.

You can download up to 3 files simultaneously. Each download shows its own progress independently.

Under the Hood

VDO Download uses a two-tier extraction system to support the widest range of sites:

  • Primary extraction handles YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, and most major platforms instantly.
  • Browser extraction activates automatically for sites that need JavaScript rendering or have anti-bot protection. You'll see a “Using browser to extract...” message when this happens.
  • Downloads are streamed through our server, processed in real-time, and deleted immediately after transfer. Nothing is stored.
